Oil painting from Painting II class. We has a narrative painting assignment and this idea of what growing up and wisdom we gain came to mind. I went with a concept of the youth being in black in white, because as kids we see the world really in black and white; good and evil. But as we grow and walk the so called road of life we find that the world is not black and white which in turn makes our world far more intense and interesting. The Tree at the far point is our goal of ultimate wisdom and happiness that we travel in life to obtain.
I'm really not that great with words but hopefully it gives an idea of my concept. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
